| Appalachian State University has a loft in New York and a brownstone in Washington, DC, which are used yearly for class trips to visit galleries, museums and artist’s studios. Both provide the student with low cost accommodations and other opportunities including visits to galleries and musuems, graphic design consultancies, and studios of practicing artists. Art department faculty regularly take students on national and international trips to introduce them to an increasingly global world of art. International travel, course credits and exchange programs are also available.
