Tenure-Track Microbiologist
The Department of Biology at Appalachian State University (ASU) (http://www.biology.appstate.edu) seeks to fill a tenure-track position in microbiology at the Assistant Professor rank. We seek a teacher-scholar who will combine excellence in undergraduate and graduate (Master’s) teaching with an active research program. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and post-doctoral and teaching experience. We are looking for an individual who studies the biology of prokaryotic microorganisms or viruses and/or microbe-host interactions. The successful candidate will develop and teach a microbiology course for nursing majors, contribute to the current curriculum, and develop advanced courses in his/her specialty.
