New Dining Hall

$29 million. Two-story. 84,744 Square Feet.
It is being built in the location of the former Broome-Kirk Gymnasium.
July 2008 is the anticipated completion date for Phase I of the facility.

Residence Halls

Doughton Hall, White Hall, Lovill Hall and Hoey Hall have undergone recent renovations.  Major renovation is now underway in Cannon Hall.  Frank Hall will be renovated next.
Estimated Cost for Each Building: $5.9 million

University Bookstore

New Addition is complete and occupied. 
Renovation of former building is complete except for an area designated for copy services and a cafe. 
Estimated Cost: $5,950,000

New Field House at Kidd Brewer Stadium

The construction of this multi-million dollar structure is taking place in the area to the rear of the home side stands.  The old press/chancellors box has been demolished.

Sofield Family Indoor Practice Facility

This new indoor sports practice facility is located behind the home stands of Kidd-Brewer Stadium near the softball field.

This new baseball facility is located behind The Broyhill Inn and Conference Center. Stands and other amenities are near completion.

Renovation of University Hall

This building is presently being renovated in order to house the new Nursing Department at Appalachian.  A brand new building has been proposed that will hold the Nursing and Allied Health Programs, with construction beginning as early as 2010.

Steam Distribution System Replacement

This campus-wide system replacement will be accomplished in four phases.  Phase III is underway.
