ASU Night at the Hickory Crawdad Baseball Game
Offered in Summer, 2005: Join in the fun as we travel to Hickory on a chartered bus to enjoy a family night out including picnic and discount tickets to a Hickory Crawdads Baseball Game.

Benefits Fair
The annual fall Health and Benefits Fair is a conducted in dual partnership with Health Promotions and the Benefits Office and is held in late October or early November. This is an event that encompass all faculty and staff employees and promotes awareness of healthful living and how to partnership benefits offered at Appalachian State University with a more healthy lifestyle. Historically, all employees and covered dependents that are covered under the State Medical Plan are able to receive a free flu shot each year by signing up through appointments prior to the fair date. Introduction to different benefit vendors and local organizations from the community highlight this event. Games, giveaways, entertainment, and free food are never in short supply at this event!
Picnic in the Park
Outdoor Picnic for Faculty, Staff, friends and family with live music, food, and free ice cream! Bring a lawn chair or blanket and invite your friends and family to join us for some good old fashioned fun!

Retirement Luncheon
Annual Event: ALL retirees from Appalachian State University receive an annual invitation to a special reception, lunch, and time for fellowship at the Broyhill Inn.

Second Shift Employee Dinner
Annual Event created especially for second shift employees who are not able to attend the Staff Appreciation Breakfast. Participants enjoy giveaways, dinner, music and a special visit from Vice Chancellor Helm and Chancellor Peacock.

Staff Appreciation Event
Annual Event: All Staff are invited to attend a the special event for food and fellowship. Participants enjoy free lunch, prizes, games, activities, giveaways, and a t-shirt.
Staff Breakfast & Service Awards
Annual Event: All Staff are invited to enjoy a free, hot breakfast served by the Chancellor and Vice Chancellors. Service Awards are presented for 5 to 35 years of State service.

Food Service Luncheon
Annual Event: All Food Service staff are invited to attend this event for Food Service Training and fellowship. Light refreshments will be served in the morning and lunch begins at noon.
