High School Model United Nations

The Political Science/Criminal Justice Department and the International Relations Association of Appalachian State University are sponsoring Model United Nations Conference on the Appalachian State University campus. This program is a way of getting students involved in and aware of the various international events that are affecting the interests and well-being of the United States and the world as we move into the new millennium.

G-20 (19 states & Representative of the EU)
SPECIAL CRISIS COUNCIL
PREPARATION
Teachers will be aided by having most of the basic material needed by students
provided by ASU. Packets of information on conference organization, general
issue summarizes, and rules of procedures will be sent on September 25, 2009
if the high school requests these materials to be sent. This information
will also be available by September 25, 2009 via the International Relations
Association’s web page (http://www.ira.appstate.edu),
with additional information (such as countries available and schools that are
participating)
