STUDENT POSTER INSTRUCTIONS
The student poster session will provide the best venue for discussions and exchange of scientific information and to promote student interaction. The poster session will open on Thursday evening, October 15th during the Social and continue Friday morning, accompanied by snacks and beverages.

We encourage you to consider submitting posters, and especially look forward to increased student participation through this mechanism.

Each Poster will be allocated a 90-in wide by 46-in high area, suitable for a standard 60-in wide by 40-in high poster. The poster should have large legible text and figures and describe the results in a manner that would be clear to a reader in the author's absence. All posters will be displayed Thursday evening for viewing prior to the Social and Friday morning through Noon. Poster presenters must remain at their poster for discussion.

Up to 15 Student Poster Awards in the sum of $50.00 will be awarded on a first submission basis and judged by the executive committee for content. In addition, The Willmarth Research Award (WRA), in the sum of $250.00, will be awarded to the 'best' Student Posters in both Physics and Biology as judged by the executive committee.

The WRA provides a means of recognition for members of the Appalachian Regional Microscopy Society, (AReMS), who have shown expertise in the use of microscopy as a significant tool in a research topic or project, or problem-solving situation. The award is provided to AReMS by, and named after the late Mr. Ted Willmarth, a well-known microscopist and a distinguished member of this Society.

Please send poster titles and abstracts to Phillip Russell at russllp@appstate.edu

Looking forward to seeing you in October!
