Masters of Applied Physics, concentration in optics
Awarded Graduate Assistantship, duties included aid to professor and setting
up astronomy labs.
Inducted into Sigma Pi Sigma Honorary Society for Physics.
Maintenance of a GPA of 3.5.
Thesis Project: Work on a speckle interferometer used for astronomical
applications. This device is used to reduce aberrations in imaging produced
by atmospheric turbulence, therefore bettering image resolution.
Course Work: Included detailed studies of computer operation on the machine
level, interfacing, wave theory and modern physics (Quantum Theory and
Relativity), classical mechanics, and optical systems (geometrical systems,
holography, fiber optics).
