Mission Statement:
The Industrial Design program at Appalachian State University will provide its students with a comprehensive undergraduate design education in their chosen concentration. All students who complete an Industrial Design degree will acquire conceptual ability, two-dimensional and three-dimensional visualization skills, knowledge of design history, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and presentation skills. This will enable them to succeed in the global workforce as practicing design professionals or to pursue advanced design education.
