  • Gordon Hensley holds a BS in Teaching Theatre K-12, and a MFA in Theatre Education/Theatre for Youth. He has been a college professor since 1999, he currently serves as faculty and theatre education coordinator at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.

    Gordon has an extensive background in theatre performance, directing, conference presentations, and service to the field of theatre and education.

    Gordon holds a North Carolina Teaching License for grades K-12, and as an arts specialist he has had the privilege of working with children and adults of all ages. Additionally, he has authored the popular teacher resource www.cre8tivedrama.com, and has written several other published works on topics such as playwriting, hybrid learning, and puppetry.

    With ample experience in curriculum development and program design, Gordon has been chosen as the state representative for the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.
