Gen-Ed Task Force Blog: Post on the main
page
If you would like to post on the main page,
here are the instructions:
Step 1: To post to the Gen-Ed Task
Force blog you must first request posting
privileges. E-mail your request to John
Whitehead at
whiteheadjc@appstate.edu.
Anyone with an appstate.edu e-mail
address is eligible.
Step 2: Next you will receive an e-mail
message from Blogger. It will say:
You have been invited by John Whitehead to join a blog called
Gen-Ed Task Force.Blogger is a free service for easily communicating and sharing
ideas on the web.
Next Steps:
1. Please follow the link below. If you do not follow this link,
you will not be able to logon to the correct blog.

Click on the
http://www.blogger.com/etc link. If you already have a Blogger
account go to Step 3. If you don't have a blogger account
skip to Step 4.
Step
3: If you already have a Blogger account, from the Blogger e-mail:
2. If you already have a Blogger account, you will be asked
to either accept or decline this invitation.
You'll be taken
to a webpage that looks like this
in your web browser. Sign in with your username and
password to accept the invitation and you are ready to go!
To post a message, skip to Step 6:

4: If you do not have a Blogger
account, from the Blogger e-mail:
3. If you do not have a Blogger account, you can create one
for free in less than a minute. Just click the link and press
the 'Create an Account' button.
You'll be taken
to a webpage that looks like this
in your web browser. Click the Create an Account button.
Step
5: Fill in the new account
form to create an account.
- Your username is your ID for logging into Blogger. It
will not be visible on the blog post.
- Your password ... is your password.
- Please use your real name for your display name (no
anonymous posts).
- Please use your @appstate.edu e-mail address.
Click continue.
Step 6:
Now you are ready to post to the Blog. Click on the Gen-Ed Task
Force link on your Dashboard
webpage.
Step
7: Click on the Create New Post link on the
Gen-Ed Task Force webpage.
Step
8: Create your post by
typing in a title and text and then click either "save as
draft," if you'd like to save it for editing, or "publish post,"
if it is ready for everyone to see. If everything worked you
should get a screen that says "your blog published
successfully." Then you can click on "view blog" to see
what your post looks like.
