What I look like
I was born in Philadelphia, PA in the Frankford section of the city. I attended Nazareth Academy High School and later graduated with a BS in Physics from St. Joseph's University, Phila. Next, I traveled around the country attending various universities in engineering and in physics. These included University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (which I did not like a great deal), San Diego State University (which I liked a lot, especially the ocean), and finally, Iowa StateUniversity (ISU) (which I liked a GREAT deal, Go Cyclones!). After many years of travelling around the country and "playing", I received my PhD in Condensed Matter Physics in the area ofScanning Probe Microscopy.
Since graduating from ISU, I have been teaching at Appalachian State University in the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
