APP.COM (Applied Communication Club)
In Fall 1996, APP.COM was formed as an organization for applied communication majors. Dr. Jean DeHart founded the organization after hearing that several applied communication students had expressed an interest in having an organization that represented their major.
As ASU's newest communication organization, APP.COM has worked to educate students by inviting professionals to speak about various job opportunities. Through this, APP.COM majors have already obtained internships in the health and hotel industries.
The letters of APP.COM stand for "A Positive Program Concerning Our Major." The department expects APP.COM to continue to be a positive influence on applied communication majors in the future.
