This concentration has evolved over the years in both name and approach from "Broadcasting" to "Electronic Media/Broadcasting." This is because of the many career opportunities in the field in addition to broadcasting, for example, with audio or video production companies.
The Electronic Media/Broadcasting sequence is designed to give the student a theoretical foundation complemented by practical skills. Check out the photos below and the course checksheet.

Students enrolled in Video Production II edit their project
using an A/B Roll video edit system.

These students are enrolled in Television Studio Product-
ion. This course gives students hands-on experience as
Audio Director and Technical Director of a studio production.

A student in Television Studio Production masters the
studio camera. He is in constant contact with the director
in the control room via headsets.

Students in Television Studio Production design the
concept of their production, write the script, construct and
light the set, and serve as crew and talent.

Students work at 90.5 The APP (WASU-FM), the
department's 340-watt broadcast radio station, to supplement
their classroom learning.

Students working in the Production Services Department at
90.5 The APP (WASU-FM) and those enrolled in
Audio Production II use state-of-the-art digital non-
linear editing systems.
