Dr. Carl Tyrie(1982), Associate Professor, teaches broadcast writing and writing for radio and TV. He received his bachelor of arts degree in economics from Marietta College in Ohio, both his bachelor of science and master of arts in broadcasting from the University of Florida and his doctorate in broadcasting from Ohio University. Dr. Tyrie also taught at Ohio State University in the School of Journalism. He has worked in television news and sports in Gainesville, Florida, and Columbus, Ohio. He is a member of the National Association of College Broadcasters and is director of broadcasting for 90.5 The APP (WASU-FM), the campus radio station.
