Here are some writers who are participants in DorothyL and links to their web sites:
"Even when reading is impossible, the presence of books acquired produces such an ecstasy that the buying of more books than one can read is nothing less than the soul reaching towards infinity... we cherish books even if unread, their mere presence exudes comfort, their ready access, reassurance."
- A.E. Newton

"Books to the ceiling
Books to the sky.
My pile of books
Are a mile high.
How I love them!
How I need them!
I'll have a long beard
By the time I read them."
Arnold Lobel
A fun place to hang out with lovers of mysteries, and writers of mysteries is DorothyL, a discussion and idea list for the lovers of the mystery genre, presently with over 3,000 participants. It was concocted by a group of librarians at a July 1991 Washington, D.C. meeting of the Association of Research Libraries and named in honor of one of the greatest mystery writers. DorothyL's Moderators AKA list-owners are very friendly and incredibly brave people:
Michael J. Kovacs, Diane K. Kovacs and Kara L. Robinson.

A big thanks to my e-pal Shannon Jensen, for all her help in compiling this list AND redesigning the page so beautifully!
