positive reinforcement-The application of a stimulus that increases the probability of the reoccurrence of the response it follows.
negative reinforcement-The withdrawal of a stimulus that increases the probability of the reoccurrence of the response it follows.
punishment-The application of a stimulus that decreases the probability of the reoccurrence of the response it follows.
extinction-The decrease in the probability of a response
as a result of nonreinforcement.
