Participation Grading Schema

Midterm: Each student will complete an evaluation form for each class participant. The average rating provided by fellow students will be averaged with the instructor's rating for a maximum of 15 points.

Final: The final participation grade will be based on participation in the group presentation (25 pts) and on participation in activities for which the student was not a discussion leader (10).

Group presentation:

• Each non-presenting participant will complete an evaluation of teaching/learning (10)
• Each group participant will complete a group evaluation rating the contributions of the group members (10)
• The instructor will rate the effectiveness of the group presentation (5)

Other participation: Will utilize the midterm participation evaluation form  prorated for a maximum of 10 points.

*The instructor reserves the right to reduce presentation grades for group members who failed to significantly contribute to the project
