- American Communication Association:
a variety of services, including links for writing tools, communication
studies, and communication law.
- Communication Institute for Online Scholarship
(CIOS): this organization provides numerous services to communication
scholars, including hotlines (email listservs), online databases of
bibliographies and syllabi, an online
index to communication journals that you can search from any campus
computer, a full-text search
engine of hundreds of communication-related sites, and much, much
more.
- National Communication Association:
online versions of the convention program and of Spectra, the
association's newsletter; general information about the association
- Southern States Communication Association:
the regional communication association; many of our students submit
papers to the Undergraduate Honors
Conference held every spring.

Political Communication Resources
- Politics.com: features political news, discussion boards and polls, links to other sites. Mostly a news site, however.
- C-SPAN: features relatively "unfiltered" political content, including video of events, speeches, advertisements
- Project Vote Smart: crucial site for informed voters, with tons of data about individual candidates and elected officials, searchable by zip code
- Political Communication Lab: research on political communication, from Stanford University
- Presidential Rhetoric: a great clearinghouse for everything that comes out of the president's mouth: audio, video, and text fieles, research, more.
- Iowa Electronic Market/Political: an intriguing site that treats candidates as commodities to be traded, has been very accurate in predicting winners
- FactCheck.org - Annenberg Political Fact Check: a non-partisan site that looks at deceptive claims and statements in political speeches and ads
