Leadership Style
I decided to pick the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and use its founders
as my social movement figures. The FCA was not started my just one person
so I am going to look at their accomplishments and wants for this movement
a little more than I am going to focus on their life. I think they would
rather have their message out than their background.
The leadership style of these men who started the FCA was Democratic.
They shared the reasonability for the success and the failure for this
group. The reason that they had to have a Democratic leadership style
is because they were trying to make this a movement that would spread
throughout the country. One thing that is on the side of the founders
of the FCA was that its organization was one started on a very positive
aspect. The FCA was founded to help athletes learn the Bible and to get
to know Christ better. The leadership style of the founders is evident
in the way they used people to help them spread the word and focus of
God.

Political Philosophy
The FCA is an organization that three men started because of their own
beliefs and wants out of the sport world. They did not just want to reach
the professional athlete they want to get to all the children around to
the Country. They wanted to get these people involved in church and reading
the scriptures. They had a dream of making these athletes not only better
at their sport or job but also better as people. The FCA was started in
1954 by Don McClanen, Paul Benedum and Branch Rickey but it is kept alive
my millions of people like you and I.
