Registration
Information
Registration is by mail and must be completed by the deadline.
The
deadline for registration is 5pm on the business day before the program
begins..
Notification
You will be notified
about any cancellations. No news is good news!
Cancellations
& Refunds
If it is necessary
for Cre8tive Drama to cancel a class for any reason, you will be notified
as soon as possible, and offered another class or a full refund.
Waiting Lists
Waiting lists are
maintained for all filled classes. Any applicant for a full class will
be placed on the waiting list. No deposit is necessary to hold a space
on the waiting list. Applicants will be contacted by phone if space
becomes available. Your check will not be cashed until that time.
Scholarships
Scholarships based
on financial need might be available for students in each age bracket,
during each session. To apply, complete a registration form and attach
a page explaining 1- financial need, 2- your interest in your school,
your community, and in the arts.
Accessibility
Cre8tive Drama
makes every attempt to be accessible. If you have special needs, please
contact us to discuss access to studios and other facilities.
Arrival &
Departure
Cre8tive Drama
summer camp is located at Greer Studio Theatre at Appalachian State
University. The workshops and other programs are offered in the Valborg
Theatre, or in the Turchin Center. Maps are available online at www.appstate.edu.
Pay attention to the class description to know when to arrive and depart.
You may drop your student off if you make visual contact with a recognized
Cre8tive Drama staff members and get their "thumbs up" signal.
Early drop-off is not allowed.
Pick up can
be a "drive through" procedure if one of the Cre8tive Drama
staff members makes visual contact with you as a recognized guardian,
and gets your "thumbs up" signal. Students under the age of
18 are never left unattended. Late pickups will be charged as follows:
up to 6-15 minutes late: $5, 16-30 minutes late: $10, more than 30 minutes
late: $20.
What are the fees for early drop off and late pick
up?
$5 per hour per student. Please note that there is not official "drama
activities" during this time.
What are the hours of the early drop off and late pick

We work with you to make camp possible for your student. However, we
are not a sitter service and ask that you respectfully minimize your
early drop-off and late pick-up hours
Policies
Drugs and Alcohol-Alcohol
is not permitted in the studios. The legal drinking age in North Carolina
is 21. The use of illegal drugs while at Cre8tive Drama is strictly
prohibited. We cannot tolerate behavior that jeopardizes your safety
or the safety of others.
Will the children be outside at all?
Yes, on sunny days we've been known to play games outside and to visit
the Valborg theatre on campus for a tour.
Ddo we need to pack their lunches?
We provide snacks to minimize allergy exposure. You're welcome to send
a bottle of water and any snacks you'd like as long as they comply with
our allergy policy (determined once all registrations are in).
Personal
Property
Cre8tive Drama
is not responsible for the security of property belonging to students,
instructors, or staff. Please do not bring toys or valuables.
Pets
Students, instructors,
or staff are not permitted to have pets on site.
Unacceptable
Behavior
Cre8tive Drama
reserves the right to dismiss any students, without refund, for behavior
that is disruptive to the learning and creative environment.
Encouraged
Behavior
Students are encouraged
to work hard, experiment, and surprise themselves. Cre8tive Drama is
a place for creative learning and expression. Be safe, and have FUN!
