Dr.
Tim Huelsman is Associate Professor of Psychology at Appalachian State University in
Boone, NC, and Director of the masters degree program
in Industrial/Organizational
Psychology and Human Resource Management. He recieved his doctorate
in Organizational Psychology from Saint
Louis
University in 1996. Prior to joining the faculty at Appalachian, he
taught at Saint Louis University in the Department of Psychology
(1995-1996) and the Department
of Management (1996-1997). He was also on staff as a research
consultant at the Missouri
Institute of Mental Health (1996-1997).Dr.
Huelsman's research interests include the application of personality,
particularly
mood, to organizational behavior and other issues, the structure and
measurement of mood, stressor/strain relationships at work, and
organizational assessment and program evaluation.
His
teaching interests include organizational psychology, research methods
and statistics, personality, program evaluation, and general psychology.
Dr.
Huelsman was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, and now lives in Boone,
NC with his wife, Jeanie, and their 3-year-old son, Cal.
Jeanie works as a merchandise manager for Mast General Store in
Valle
Crucis, NC.
