My research interests include the application of personality, particularly mood, to organizational settings and issues, the structure and measurement of mood, stressor/strain relationships at work, and organizational assessment and program evaluation (also a focus of my consulting).

Currently, I am examining the role of self-regulation, personality and affect in the employment interview. I am also examining the role of personality and goals on behavior and afect.

I have also recently gone off on two tangents to study depression (with Dr. Kurt Michael in the Department of Psychology) and to study the role of mood in athletes and their immunological response to intense activity (with Dr. David Nieman in the Department of Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science).
