Try styling it with CSS at the same site. Very cool.
FLASHKIT.COM will be one of your best resources for all things flash. Take a look at some of the 153 GAMES tutorials you will find here. Download the fla and test movie to see it. Then hack into the Fla code to fit your project, changing the content to make a statement about a current event.
Tutorialsized.com is probably the next best option in terms of beginning tutorials for games. Tutorialoutpost.com seems to have some friendly little flas for your perusal. Kirupa is good for actionscript tutorials as is Actionscript.org . I especially like Kirupa's XML driven Photo Gallery. If you get this to work- try the more advanced Photo Gallery with thumbnails.
There are some FLAs that i put together that should be easy to hack into to make your version from the code. You can find them here, some of these are folders (directories) with the fla inside. Make sure you CONTROL click the fla files and SAVE AS SOURCE to your drive.
Here is Ed's Timeline Contol FLA.
Learn how to load text dynamically into flash here.

Server Side Includes
Wikipedia has a great definition of SSIs. I found Alex's SSI Tutorial there.
BigNoseBird has some good info on SSIs as wellPHP
byethost.com has free hosting, no ads, and PHP allowed. -
Get great PHP scripts at the PHP resource.
There is a pretty good simple form processing script at Jacks's Scripts that works on ASU's server.
Ledformmail.php - v1.0 is a script that will work to process your forms at byethost16.com. Phorm 3.0 is a better script that processes forms and sends the data to your email as well as log to a text file or MySql database. - Here is a simple text counter.
- If you can not get PHP on your server, then try emailmeform.com
or response-o-matic,com, free services that process forms and email the data to you.
JAVA
Check out this simple java based script for making image gallerys.
Get cut and paste javascript here.

Get Ed's ULTIMATE Preloader Script for Flash swfs here. NEW AND IMPROVED!!!
Want to fill your browser window so the image graphic or flash file fills white space?
Moock has a great tutorial here or else put below into your body tag.
NEW WINDOW SCRIPT !! Put this script in your BODY tag to
control window size, toolbar, etc. !! Another Window Script allows
you to control size windows from image links as well as text or java buttons.Perhaps the EASIEST script to control windows is to copy the script below
and then paste it AFTER the Tag and BEFORE THE Tag on the page you want to control the size for. Note this also controls the location of the page on the computer screen so just fudge the numbers (x,y coordinates) until you get something you want.
The Java link below works like THIS on a text link and allows you to control just about everything you want in the browser window.
Just copy, cut and paste it in CODE view wherever you want the link.
Hack into the above URL that you want, change the text link to want you want it to say, and turn on the parameters you want as well.
Here is a good script that goes in the meta tag in your header to AUTO REFRESH the page- you can use this to reload or load another html page into your window.
The CONTENT attribute contains the number of seconds to wait before loading the page followed by the URL and needs to be specified

FLA filesHere is a great Actionscript 3 to do basic navigation between frames or scenes in a flash movie
Here is a tidy Actionscript 3 to do navigation from a button in flash to an absolute or relative URL. Or you can get the FLA here.
Below is a great AS3 Preloader script that has most parameters you want to entertain viewers while they wait for your huge flash movie to download. Put this in frame one scene one of you movie.
