Listserv Groups
Listservs can provide you with an abundance of information. In
fact, sometimes they can provide you with an
over-abundance of information! They are a wonderful place to post
questions and find suggestions. To begin using listervs,
subscribe to one, and see if it meets your needs. If not, select
another one. Postings from a listerv will come as e-mail to
your e-mail account. That means you must keep up with your
account. Most e-mail accounts have a limit on the amount of
mail you can receive. So, check your mail regularly and delete
often when you have subscribed to a listserv.
To subscribe to a listserv, send an e-mail to the listerv
address. Leave the "subject heading" blank. In the body
of the
message, type ONLY the following information:
SUBSCRIBE (list name) yourfirstname yourlastname
For example: SUBSCRIBE ADA-LAW Mary Smith
